Now taking new clients!
I am a doula serving Western MA, primarily in the Pioneer Valley. I began my doula career in 2017, after my kiddo was born, as a postpartum doula and home visit volunteer with It Takes a Village. Engaging with families as a postpartum doula brings me great joy and fulfillment in my life, as well as a confidence in parenting that I continue to gain from learning from my own clients. It can be a rewarding and reciprocal relationship.
Trained both as a birth and postpartum doula by Warm Welcome Birth, I am excited to serve growing families in our community by offering the following services:
Emotional and physical support during prenatal, labor, birth, and postpartum times
Empower you to care for yourself and your new baby(ies) in ways that uplift and honor your family's values
Support in your home or virtually to best suit your needs and lifestyle
As one of the co-directors on the board of Green River Doula Network, I am excited to connect and collaborate with members and local organizations to support access and visibility to our doula and perinatal community with the families we serve.
In the spring of 2017, I was in the middle of my parental leave with my newborn, realizing how unprepared I felt for this stage of parenthood.
I had read all the books and watched the videos about TTC and pregnancy, researched hospital birth vs. home birth, and even taken a movement for birth class.
But what I wasn't prepared for was feeding and changing a newborn every two(!) hours, having to change my food intake based on their dietary restrictions, or how isolating it can feel to be just you and your new baby - no matter how much you love and adore them!
So what did I do?
